Independent design & engineering · Tokyo
Calm software for busy places.
We are a four-person studio working on brand systems, product interfaces, and the front-end that holds them together. Most of our clients are small teams with a long list of things to do and very little patience for noise.
東京を拠点に、ブランドとプロダクトのデザイン、フロントエンドの実装を行っています。
What we do
-
Brand systems
Identity, typography, and the written rules that keep a small team consistent without a brand police.
-
Product design
Research, flows, and interfaces for tools people use every day — from the first sketch to the shipped component.
-
Front-end engineering
Accessible, fast, maintainable builds. We stay through launch and the quiet months that follow it.
Selected work
A few projects from the last two years.
- 2026 Harbor Booking platform for independent inns
- 2026 Kōenji Library Wayfinding and digital catalogue
- 2025 Lumen Design system for a payments team
- 2025 Field Notes Editorial site for a research collective
- 2024 Mori Identity and packaging for a tea importer
Studio
Small on purpose.
Kaze Atelier started in 2019 in a two-room office above a bakery in Kōenji. We wanted to work on a handful of projects at a time, with the people who would actually use them in the room. That has not changed much.
Today we are four: two designers, one engineer, and one person who keeps the schedule honest. We work with teams in Tokyo, Osaka, Berlin, and Lisbon — usually for six to twelve weeks, sometimes for years.
